Checklist for Men:
Men 15 years and older:
• Annual testicular exam
Men 20 years and older:
• Annual testicular exam
• It is recommended that all men between the ages of 20
and 50 receive a cancer-related check-up, including skin examination,
every three years
Men 50 years and older:
• Annual testicular exam
• Annual digital rectal exam
• Annual fecal occult blood test (FOBT) for occult (hidden)
blood in stool
• Colonoscopy every 10 years, or both fecal occult blood
testing (FOBT) annually and flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years
• Annual test for prostate-specific antigen (PSA)
• Annual skin exam

Women 20 years and older:
• It is recommended that all women between the ages of
20 and 50 receive a cancer-related check-up, including skin
examination, every three years
Women 21 years and older:
• Annual pelvic exam and a Pap smear
• It is recommended that all women between the ages of 20
and 50 receive a cancer-related check-up, including skin examination,
every three years
Women between 20 and 39 years:
• Annual pelvic exam and a Pap smear
• Monthly breast self-examination
• Breast exam by a professional annually (starting at
25)

Women between 40 and 49 years:
• Annual pelvic exam and a Pap smear
• Monthly breast self-examination
• Annual breast exam by a professional
• Annual mammography

Women 50 years and older:
