  • 6TH ANNUAL SKIPPY MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
    In its 6th year, Skippy has become one of the most fun charity golf events in the area! Skippy tournaments have raised over $100,000 for local cancer patients!
    The fun begins Wednesday, June 4 with Texas Hold'em at Flanagan's Pub and continues on Friday night with Calcutta bidding. The festivities culminate with golf and prizes on Saturday morning and the post tournament party at Flanagan's on Saturday evening.

    2007 Event Recap


    Dr. Dave Welch Memorial Foundation Charity Event
    On August 25th, more than 250 people enjoyed entertainment, drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction at Wynlakes Country Club. The 7th annual gala raised money to help local cancer patients.

    Oncology on Canvas and "The Healing Project"
    Eli Lilly & Co.'s showcase of artworks from around the world depicting the cancer experience returned to Montgomery. The July exhibition at Stonehenge Gallery in Old Cloverdale was enhanced with works by local artists and the unveiling of a collaborative tile mural called "The Healing Project" at a special reception.

    SHOOT FOR LIFE Event Results in a New World Record!
    Matt Bostic broke his previous world record for 3 point shots at this community basketball event to raise cancer awareness on June 30. He sunk 6343 shots in a 24 hour period.

    5th Annual Skippy Golf Tournament
    This fun June 9th event involved than 100 golfers and a full weekend of avtivity and entertainment. More than $30,000 was raised in memory of Nannette "Skippy" Lanier. Click here for a recap.

    MGM Tournament of Hope
    Poker enthusiasts enjoyed an evening of cards, hors d'oerves, wines and a silent auction on October 18 to raise more than $20,000 to assist local cancer patients.
